ITALY - Allen & Overy to end activities in Turin
Law firm Allen & Overy (A&O) has decided to end its operations in Turin following the departure of Carlo Pavesio, the only A&O partner left in the city. Pavesio left to set up his own practice. From January next year, Pavesio & Associati will be fully operating and allied with A&O, despite being financially independent.
In a statement, A&O said that Pavesio's new business will have full access to A&O's know how, training and meeting rooms abroad. Pavesio said: 'It presents the Turin office an opportunity to grow based in a city where the clientele needs a very personalised relationship combined with the coverage of Allen & Overy's global network.'
Corporate and antitrust specialist Pavesio joined A&O in 1998 and became a sole partner in Turin after Guido Brosio announced his retirement last summer.
