
FRANCE - AFIC publishes promising new figures
The French Venture Capital Association, AFIC, has today published figures for the country's private equity activity in the first semester of 2006.
The total value of buyouts increased by 24%, while growth capital investments were up 17%, and the venture segment grew by 15%.
Total fundraising decreased from EUR 7.8bn in H1 2005 to EUR 3.5 this year, with 40% of funds raised abroad.
The total value of exits remained stable at EUR 1.8bn for 651 deals.
