FRANCE - Jaques-Philippe Gunther to join Willkie Farr & Gallagher
Willkie Farr & Gallagher has today announced the appointment of Jaques-Philippe Gunther as an associate, and will be joined by David Tayar who will join the European Counsel.
Gunther will be joining from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he has been in charge of competition activities since 1999. His career began at Gide Loyrette Nouel and now has a strong reputation for specialising in both French and European competition laws. He has advised on major transactions such as the merging of Gaz de France and Suez. His areas of expertise range from the media and telecommunications sectors to banking, energy and defense.
