
FRANCE - Prado Finance makes two acquisitions in aeronautics
Belgian private equity house Prado Finance has acquired medium-range airline Axis Airways and private jet maintenance company Uni Air Entreprise.
With an investment of EUR 10m, Prado Finance is taking a 65% stake in Marignane-based Axis Airways. Founded in 1999, the airline generated a 2005 turnover of EUR 100m and employs 220 staff. According to press reports, Prado's acquisition of Uni Air is valued at EUR 5.5m. The Bourget-based company's 2005 turnover was close to EUR 10m, but is expected to increase to EUR 17m in 2007.
