FINLAND/SWEDEN - Riverside backs buyout of Nordic steel specialist

Mid-market specialist Riverside Company has acquired Nordic manufacturer Keycast and its subsidiaries, including Combi Wear Parts. The company specializes in steel casting and operates from four foundries in Finland and Sweden. The company’s customers are primarily in Europe and the US, with a recent surge in production leading to a 30% increase in sales for 2006. Riverside is no stranger to the Nordic region. The company recently exited Danish energy company Welltec, and hired Lars Eriksson as head of origination for the Nordics.
