
UK - Apax-backed Incisive acquires ALM for £315m
Apax Partners-owned Incisive Media has acquired ALM, a publisher of 33 national and regional magazines and newspapers focused on the legal and real estate communities, for £315m from US Equity Partners. US-based ALM's titles include The American Lawyer, The New York Law Journal, Corporate Counsel and The National Law Journal. The company is also a producer of conferences and events for the legal profession. The Royal Bank of Scotland provided a debt package to support the transaction. ALM generated approximately $200m in revenues in 2006. Apax delisted unquote" publisher Incisive in a £245m deal in 2006.
