
NETHERLANDS - KKR and Silver Lake to acquire Philips' chip division
KKR and Silver Lake Partners have reportedly emerged as winners in the auction for the semi-conductor division of Dutch electronics company Philips. The reports, which suggest that the consortium has agreed to pay around EUR 8bn for the company's chip division, caused shares to rise by 4.4% to EUR 26.25 in morning deals today.
