FINLAND - FVCA says 2005 was best year ever for exits
2005 was a year of fundraising and exits in Finland, according to a survey by the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FVCA).
The survey did not ask for the amount realised by any sale and the figures do not reflect what private equity funds actually received.
The preliminary statistics show that fundraising doubled from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, funds raised totalled EUR 629m. The all time high, however, is still 2002, when Finnish funds secured EUR 814m.
The information is based on the preliminary statistics of the FVCA. The survey covers members of the FVCA, altogether 43 private equity groups.
