
SWEDEN - Swedish Venture Capital Association announces awards
The Swedish Venture Capital Association (SVCA) announced during its annual conference in Stockholm on 21 March, three winners of the SVCA Awards. Industri Kapital won the award for "promoting the community" for its project in Uganda fighting African sleeping sickness. Creandum won the award for "best fundraising", because it managed to raise its fund Creandum II of SEK 750m in just 100 days. InnovationsKapital won the award for "best exit" because of its exit of Carmen Systems to Boeing Company. During the seven years InnovationsKapital held Carmen systems, the company grew from a small company to a company with over 300 employees, and realised 9 times the purchase price.
