UK - Private equity realises £40bn, says CMBOR research
Statistics on private equity exits from the Centre for Management Buyout Research (CMBOR) suggests that there has been a huge leap in refinancing levels to ТЃ19bn as private equity houses seek to realise the returns in their investments. When added to the ТЃ21bn of exits figure for 2005, a total of ТЃ40bn of liquidity has been realised.
CMBOR finds that leisure, manufacturing and business support services are the key industry sectors with respective values of £2.7bn, £900m and £700m.
