SPAIN - RCS makes EUR 1.3bn offer for Recoletos

The company was acquired in 2005 by a consortium including the likes of Investindustrial, Mercapital and Providence Equity Partners. At the time, it was believed the deal was worth over EUR 900m.

Recoletos publishes some of the most read publications in Spain, such as celebrity magazine Qué! and financial paper Expansión, which sells more than 40.000 copies daily. RCS's proposal is currently being evaluated by Recoletos' management, which should reach a conclusion in the next few days.
