Pantheon extends pension fund deal to Europe
Pantheon has received an allocation of capital for private equity investment, managed on behalf of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
The deal will see Pantheon manage a customised, discretionary separate account and incorporate a service platform to enable IMRF to increase its exposure to certain investments.
Target funds will include primary buyout, growth equity and venture capital vehicles in North America and Europe.
Pantheon has worked with IMRF on North American investments since 2000 and wished to expand its relationship by moving into the European market.
