
FRANCE - Carlyle sells Cameca to Ametek for EUR 82m
Carlyle has sold France-based scientific equipment manufacturer Cameca to NYSE-listed Ametek for EUR 82m.
Paris-headquartered Cameca manufactures high-end elemental analysis systems used in advanced laboratory research, semiconductor and nanotechnology applications. In 2005, the company acquired Atomika, giving Cameca a presence in Germany, Asia and the semiconductor sector.
