
UK - Duke Street buys value retailer from BPE for £68.5m
Duke Street Capital (DSC) has backed the £68.5m secondary management buyout of The Original Factory Shop from Barclays Private Equity (BPE). The Original Factory Shop is a value retailer, headquartered in Burnley, Lancashire. It has 84 outlets across the UK selling discounted merchandise including Ladieswear, Menswear, Childrenswear, Sportswear, Footwear, Electricals, Housewares, Toys & Gifts, Beauty and Fragrance. Barclays Leveraged Finance and Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander provided debt facilities to support DSC's acquisition.
