Permira in $765m US deal
Permira has announced that a new holding company advised by Permira funds has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Aearo Technologies Inc., one of the world’s leading designers, manufacturers and marketers of a broad range of personal protective products and energy absorbing composites for approximately $765m. This transaction marks a significant US investment by the Permira Funds and is consistent with their strategy of investing in international companies with a strong European presence. Aearo is currently majority owned by Bear Stearns Merchant Banking, together with an investor group including Aearo’s management.
