PAI names four new partners
PAI Partners has promoted principals Mathieu Paillat, Roberto Ferraresi, Stefano Drago and Gaëlle d’Engremont to partners and Albin Louit to investment director, according to a source close to the matter.
The five appointments are part of a promotion spree led by the European private equity firm as it continues to invest its sixth fund, which closed on €3.3bn in early 2015.
D'Engremont is a member of the food and consumer goods team; Drago is in charge of investments in the healthcare sector; Louit and Paillat are both members of the general industrials team; and Ferraresi is part of PAI's Italian team.
PAI invests in mid- to large-size European companies in five different sectors, including healthcare, retail and food. The GP recently entered talks with Montefiore and Carlyle to buy French budget accommodation operator B&B Hotels for an estimated €825m.
