Corporate finance firms Capitalmind, EquityGate to merge
Corporate finance houses Capitalmind and EquityGate have announced their merger to create a pan-European, mid-market-focused advisory group.
The two advisers initiated a merger in order to create a wider group present across continental Europe, the firms said in a statement. The business will operate under the Capitalmind brand.
The firm will advise clients out of six offices across Europe, with bases in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Slovenia. Capitalmind is owned and led by 14 partners including Michel Degryck, Jan Willem Jonkman and Ervin Schellenberg. The team comprises 55 professionals overall.
Capitalmind mainly focuses on sell-side M&A (60% of its activity) but is also active in private equity buyouts (20% of its business) and growth capital and refinancings. It has executed 200 deals over the past five years, totalling €8bn.
