
Frog holds first and final close for second fund on €90m
Frog Capital has held a first and final close for Frog Capital II on €90m.
The total amount raised is approximately €20m higher than that raised by Frog's maiden vehicle. Frog Capital I was a single-LP fund that closed on around €70m in 2009.
Frog did not use a placement agent for its latest fund.
Investments
Frog Capital II will make up to eight investments and is able to write cheques of up to €20m. The VC has a pan-European remit and targets technology and technology-enabled companies.
The fund has already made two investments, leading a $20m series-B round for online money-transfer platform Azimo and a $16m series-C round for content monetisation platform Skimlinks.
Investors
The British Investment Bank committed €9m to the fund drawn from its Venture Capital Catalyst Fund. A further 13 LPs, consisting of a mix of institutional investors and family offices, also made commitments.
