
FPE Capital acquires IWSR
Growth private equity investor FPE Capital has backed the management buyout of IWSR, an alcohol database.
The deal is the third investment for FPE's £100m maiden institutional fund, launched in October 2017. FPE invests in UK lower-mid-market companies. Allied Irish Bank provided acquisition finance for the deal.
FPE's Neil Smith will join the board of IWSR as non-executive chair.

IWSR is headquartered in London and has a US office in New York. The company has built up a large database on the alcoholic beverage market, covering market, category and brand performance in 157 countries.
