
Aretex Capital Partners acquires Building Energy
New York- and London-based private equity firm Aretex Capital Partners has bought renewable energy producer Building Energy from ZZ Capital.
The announcement marks the recently formed GP's third investment from its inaugural fund. Aretex acquired the renewable energy producer from ZZ Capital, where Aretex founder Sergio D'Angelo originally led and sourced the investment.
Aretex, which was founded earlier this year, will work with the existing management team to expand the business further.

Building Energy is a renewable energy producer across four technologies – wind, solar, biomass and hydro. The company owns a significant gross capacity of 144 MW of green power generation across power plants in Africa, the Americas and Europe. Headquartered in Italy, the company has six offices and operates in 30 countries.
