Key Capital Partners sells Alliance in Partnership
Key Capital Partners (KCP) has sold school catering company Alliance in Partnership (AiP) to trade buyer Sodexo.
The GP sold the Birmingham-based specialist catering group to multinational catering company Sodexo. Alantra advised on the sale.
KCP backed the management buyout of the business in 2014 and has supported it through a period of rapid growth, which saw sales climb nearly threefold in four years.
In addition to organic growth, AiP acquired complementary businesses including West Midlands-based Class Catering in 2014, and Kent peer The Contract Dining Company last year. AiP now looks after 400 schools, compared with 170 in 2014.
Company
AiP is a specialist educational catering business that feeds almost 85,000 pupils and students a day in schools and colleges across the UK.
