Palamon sells Il Bisonte to trade buyer
Palamon Capital Partners has sold the Italian leather accessories brand Il Bisonte to Tokyo-listed trade buyer Look Holdings.
The deal values Il Bisonte at €100m and marks the first exit from Palamon European Equity III.
The enterprise value is three times the entry price paid by Palamon when it acquired the business in 2015, producing a 26% Gross IRR for the fund.
Previous funding
Palamon acquired Il Bisonte in the summer of 2015. Under the GP's ownership, Il Bisonte revamped its brand and pushed international expansion across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including the opening of new directly managed stores in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Il Bisonte was founded in 1970 by Wanny di Filippo in Florence, Italy. The company makes luxury leather handbags and accessories, with a locally sourced product range. The company now has 400 global points of sale generating revenues of €40m in 2019.
