
Fideuram launches PE fund with ESG focus
Fideuram Investimenti has launched a private markets funds that provides private investors with access to private equity and private debt, among other asset classes.
The target size of FAI Mercati Privati Europei is €300m, with a first close expected in December 2019, Fideuram Investimenti CEO Gianluca La Calce told Unquote.
Tikehau Investment Management serves as the alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) of the master fund, while Fideuram Investimenti is the AIFM of the feeder fund.
La Calce says the master fund has applied for the LuxFlag ESG label, which is awarded to investment funds that have incorporated environmental, social and governance (ESG) analysis throughout their entire investment process.
Fideuram previously launched FAI Mercati Privati Globali, which was also open to non-professional clients. FAI Mercati Privati Globali has raised €530m and more than 4,000 customers have subscribed to it. It invests in companies with EBITDA of €50-150m.
Both FAI Mercati Privati Globali and FAI Mercati Privati Europei are part of the Fideuram Alternative Investments platform.

The fund is open to both private and professional investors. The minimum commitment for non-professional investors is €100,000.

FAI Mercati Privati Europei is set to invest across a number of private markets: 30% in private equity, 30% in private debt, 20% in special opportunities, and 20% in real estate.
The fund has a pan-European geographical focus, and it is diversified across sectors, says La Calce.
The vehicle targets returns of 5-8% net IRR.
