Abry Partners makes investment in Options Technology
Boston-based private equity firm Abry Partners has bought a stake in Options Technology, a UK-headquartered provider of cloud-enabled managed services.
Abry's investment was substantially larger than the company's first round of investment from New York-based private equity firm Bregal Sagemount in 2017, which was in excess of $100m, according to a person close to the company.
Funds from the current transaction will be used to accelerate Options Technology's growth strategy, pursue strategic M&A targets, invest in the technology platform and expand Options' reach in financial centres.
Company
Options Technology has close to 300 employees across eight offices worldwide. It was founded in 1993 as a hedge fund technology service; having expanded since then, it now provides outsourced financial technology and managed IT services to players in the global capital markets.
According to public records, the business posted revenues of £70.8m and operating profit of £4.9m in 2018.
