
Pollen Street, BC Partners consider IPO for Shawbrook Bank - report

UK-based sponsors Pollen Street Capital and BC Partners are considering listing their portfolio company Shawbrook Bank, a UK-based retail and commercial bank, according to Sky News.
Pollen Street and BC Partners are said to be in the early stages of discussions with investments banks, and could alternatively opt for a sale or to maintain the status quo, sources privy to the matter told Sky News.
According to Sky News, the UK-based company could achieve a valuation higher than GBP 1bn if floated or sold this year. The London Stock Exchange is the potential IPO venue under consideration, where Shawbrook previously floated with a GBP 725m valuation six years ago. The bank went private in an GBP 850m deal in 2017.
Pollen Street Capital and BC Partners had not returned a request for comment at the time of publication. Shawbrook declined to comment.
