360 Capital holds first closing of venture fund

Venture investor 360 Capital Partners has held a first close on its second fund, 360 Capital 2011, on more than т‚Ќ60m.

The fund has a final target of €100m.

Investors
The public-private Italian fund Fondo Italiano di Investimento has taken its first step into the venture space with capital commitments to the vehicle. Other investors include Caisse des Dépôts, the European Investment Fund, family offices and financial institutions.

Investments
The fund will make early-stage investments of €1-5m in internet, ICT, cleantech and medical technology companies. The fund will particularly focus on Italy and France.
