Summit Bridge to manage $100m China-Ireland Fund
Atlantic Bridge Capital and WestSummit Capital have launched the $100m China Ireland Technology Growth Capital Fund.
Summit Bridge Capital, a joint venture between Atlantic and WestSummit, will manage the vehicle.
The fund target is thought to stand at $300m.
Investments
The vehicle will back technology companies with a presence in Ireland that have a strategic interest in China, and Chinese technology companies with an interest in Ireland as a step into European markets.
Minority stakes will be sought over the next 3-5 years.
Investors
The fund has received capital commitments from China Investment Corporation, China's sovereign wealth fund, and the National Pensions Reserve Fund, Ireland's social welfare and public service pensions plan.

Raymond Yang is managing partner of WestSummit. Elaine Coughlan is co-founder and general partner at Atlantic Bridge.
