Adams Street closes Secondary Fund 5 on $1bn
Adams Street Partners has closed its Global Secondary Fund 5 on its $1bn hard-cap.
The firm stated that the offering was oversubscribed, which allowed it to surpass the initial $750m target and reach the hard-cap. In combination with other managed accounts, Adams Street now has approximately $2bn in fresh capital to invest for secondaries opportunities.
Investors
Adams Street stated it was able to attract a "diversified" mix of LPs, including sovereign wealth funds, public and private pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations and high-net-worth individuals.
Investments
Global Secondary Fund 5 will invest $5-500m in fund interests, direct secondary transactions and GP restructurings.
