Ogier promotes Lenaers to managing associate in Luxembourg
International law firm Ogier, specialised in offshore investment legislation, has promoted Marc Lenaers to managing associate in its Luxembourg office.
The announcement was made as part of the firm's mid-year round of promotions, and came along with the appointment of Guillaume Maurin as senior associate.
Lenaers first joined Ogier in May 2015, advising global clients and investment managers on a range of regulated and unregulated investment vehicles, including mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, real estate and debt funds. He is also in charge of setting up and restructuring Luxembourg investment funds.
Prior to joining the law firm, Lenaers used to be head of legal fund engineering at a bank and senior associate at a Luxembourg law firm, where he was in charge of the investment funds practice of the New York representative office.
Maurin is part of Ogier's business and trust law group, where he advises on funds, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and restructuring and insolvency.
As part of the mid-year promotions wave, Ogier also recently announced the appointment of four lawyers as senior associates in its Jersey office and of a new partner in the Cayman Islands.
