AKD appoints fourth partner to new Luxembourg office
Benelux-based law firm AKD has recruited corporate and tax lawyer Cécile Jager to join its new Luxembourg office.
Jager, whose appointment will be effective from 5 October 2016, is the fourth partner to join AKD's Luxembourg office.
The new partner joins AKD from Luxembourg law firm Bonn Steichen & Partners where she worked for 13 years, the last four of which as a partner. Prior to that she worked at PwC in Luxembourg and at Banque de Gestion Privee Indosuez in various positions.
Jager was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2003. She advises on tax and corporate issues in connection with structured financings, as well as on the acquisition and disposition of assets and companies, and group restructurings.
Jager has particular expertise on specific corporate aspects of both domestic and cross-border deals, including M&A transactions, corporate reorganisations and private equity investments. Being familiar with both tax and corporate law, she also advises international private clients and families in structuring their private wealth.
AKD recently opened its Luxembourg office, for which it recruited 15 tax advisers with an international focus. The firm also announced the appointment of Allard Schuering as senior corporate lawyer in August this year.
