IK Investment Partners opens Amsterdam office
IK Investment Partners has announced the opening of its Amsterdam office, to be headed by partner Remko Hilhorst.
Hilhorst, who joined IK in 2001, was previously heading the group's Benelux activities. In addition to the existing mid-cap team already on the ground, and consisting of a total of six investment professionals, IK is adding on a new small-cap-focused team for the region.
IK says it has been present in Benelux since 1995, with thirteen transactions closed to date and around €1bn invested. At present, the GP has four portfolio companies in the region, including CID Lines, Salad Signature, Ampelmann and DGI.
Other local acquisitions included OTC drug maker Vemedia, sold to Charterhouse last year, online retailer Wehkamp, industrial group Magotteaux and fund administrator Vistra.
The two Amsterdam-based teams will focus on investments in businesses with enterprise values of up to €500m.
