KKR, Schroders back Neos direct lending JV
KKR and Schroders have backed a €1bn direct lending fund to be managed by Dutch manager Neos.
KKR is the principal investor in the vehicle and is drawing the investment from its credit funds.
Both Schroders and KKR will support Neos in execution and portfolio management, drawing on Neos's local market knowledge for origination.
It will provide senior loans of between €1-10m to small and medium-sized businesses in the Netherlands and Germany with a strong bias towards the Netherlands.
The vast majority of the financing will be senior lending, although the vehicle does have flexibility to provide other structures.
Schroders owns 49% of the management company of Neos. Its first two funds were backed by two Dutch pension funds.
