
Vistra appoints Bouwmeister as PE global sector head

Trust, fiduciary, fund and corporate services firm Vistra has promoted Onno Bouwmeister to PE global sector head, Unquote has learned.
Bouwmeister started his career in finance at Rabobank International on their securities desk, where he stayed from 1999 to 2003. He then worked as a lawyer for four years for the Dutch law firm Kneppelhout and Korthals, specialising in corporate law.
He then joined Vistra in 2008 as principal relationship manager, progressing to commercial manager in 2012 and managing director in 2013. Bouwmeister subsequently became the divisional managing director for alternative investments and finally PE global sector head, as of last month. He is based in Luxembourg.
Bouwmeister holds an LLM in corporate law from the university of Utrecht and was member of the Dutch bar association.
Vistra covers the set-up and administration and private equity funds. Some of its services include coordinating the launch of funds and taking care of company incorporations, compliance and financial statements.
