Dechert appoints new partner
Dechert has appointed Patrick Goebel as partner in the firm's financial services and investment management division in Luxembourg.
In his new position, Goebel will focus on advisory services for UCITS, private equity and hedge funds, as well as other alternative investment funds such as real estate.
Prior to joining Dechert's practice, Goebal worked for Allen & Overy, also in Luxembourg. Goebel joined Banque Generale du Luxembourg (now part of BNP Paribas) in 1999, where his last position was head of fund engineering.
Goebel holds degrees from Université Paris IX Dauphine and Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is a qualified lawyer in Luxembourg and holds a level III CFA certification.
