Icos Capital backs Greenclouds
Dutch venture company Icos Capital has backed Greenclouds.
Rotterdam-based Greenclouds aggregates and distributes excess Cloud computing capacity and offers this capacity on demand on a pay-per-use basis. The company works in cooperation with service and hosting companies.
The investor was attracted by the switchboard concept Greencloud, which makes additional IT capacity available whenever companies have a shortage. According to Icos, this method increases the bottom line and minimises energy waste.
