Main Capital's Denit acquires Dutch Cloud
Main Capital-backed Dutch IT infrastructure provider Denit Hosting Solutions has bolted on Dutch Cloud, a Netherlands-based group specialised in cloud computing.
Main Capital acquired a majority stake in the group in 2016, investing from its €85m fourth buyout fund Main Capital IV. The GP intended to support Denit's growth plans in the sector with add-on acquisitions, an approach Main Capital has followed with previous investments.
Denit and Dutch Cloud's merger will form a larger cloud computing services group, with a wider array of services: while Denit's customers are mainly active in the IT and software sectors, Dutch Cloud is more focused on large corporates and software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies, according to the GP.
The new entity, which will be moving into a new shared office space, will employ around 50 people. The management of both companies will stay on board.
