
Gimv buys stake in Snack Connection
Gimv has acquired a minority stake in Dutch nut supplier Snack Connection from investment company Trophas.
The company aims to continue and accelerate its European expansion plans with Gimv's support.
The vendor, Trophas, invests in food production firms and first acquired an interest in Snack Connection in February 2016 for an undisclosed sum.
Company
Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Giessen, Snack Connection purchases, processes, mixes and packages nuts. It has two production sites in Giessen and Bergschenhoek and employs more than 100 people. The company generated a turnover of €79.8m and an operating profit of €1.76m in the year ending December 2015, according to publicly available documents.
