Serena Capital leads €4m round for Elium
Serena Capital has led a €4m series-A funding round for Belgian communication software developer Elium.
Government-backed Société Régionale d'Investissement de Wallonie (SRIW) also took part in the round. Serena invests from its second fund, which closed on €130m.
The new money will be used for recruitment, as the company aims to expand its staff from 20 to 40 people by the end of 2018.
Company
Founded in 2008 by Antoine Perdaens, Elium is an enterprise social network aiming to complement productivity platforms such as Slack and Facebook Workplace, operating with a subscription payment model. Its customer base includes clients such as BNP Paribas, EDF and MSL Group.
In 2013, Elium acquired Swiss competitor HyperWeek. It currently employs 20 people.
