
Cottonwood in €2.6m series-B for Clear Flight Solutions
Cottonwood Euro Technology Fund has taken part in a €2.6m series-B funding round for Clear Flight Solutions.
Unmanned aerial vehicle company Aerium Analytics also took part in the round.
Clear Flight targets an expansion of the funding round, which would bring the total up to €6m.
The fresh capital will be used for North American expansion as well as further development of the Robird 3.0, a fully autonomous robotic bird.
Previous funding
Cottonwood Euro Technology Fund provided a €1.6m round of growth capital to Clear Flight in March 2015.
Company
Clear Flight provides unmanned aircraft systems that specialise in bird control and aerial inspections. At Edmonton International Airport in Canada and another undisclosed European airport, the Robird has made more than 500 flights on airside within a three-month period, scaring away an estimated 15,000 birds. The company is headquartered in Enschede, Netherlands.
