Dawn Capital et al. inject $12m into Zivver
A consortium of new and existing investors has invested $12m in Netherlands-based Zivver, a platform that protects sensitive data.
The round was led by UK-based Dawn Capital, a B2B software and B2B fintech startups specialist. The VC used its £165m Dawn Capital III fund for the transaction, which closed on its hard-cap in April.
UK-based VC DN Capital and the startup's historical backer, Dutch investor HenQ Capital Partners, equally participated in the round.
Zivver is currently opening offices in Belgium and Germany; the fresh capital will help the business enter these markets.
Company
Founded in Amsterdam in 2015 and formally launched in 2017, Zivver is a platform that allows clients to protect sensitive data. Its ISO-certified software scans emails and attachments, flagging any unusual behaviour patterns, while asymmetric encryption protects the data. The startup's software also allows users to safely share large files. In the Netherlands, 20% of hospitals use Zivver's platform.
