Capricon invests €3m in Miaa Guard
Belgium-based VC firm Capricon Venture Partners has invested €3m in access technology company Miaa Guard.
Capricorn drew capital for the investment from two funds, the €33.2m Capricorn ICT Fund that closed in 2014, and the Quest for Growth listed vehicle.
Pamica, the investment vehicle of entrepreneur Michel Akkermans, also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the company's growth. Both Michel Akkermans and Capricon's Katrin Geyskens are joining the board of directors.

Miaa Guard was founded in 2009 under the name of VintiQ by Carlo Schüpp and Ward Duchamps and is headquartered in Leuven, Belgium. The company makes cloud-based software for managing access and identities; its clients include Coca-Cola, Mars, Johnson & Johnson, Merck and the NBA.
