
Endeit leads $18m funding round for 3D Hubs
Endeit Capital has led an $18m series-C funding round for Netherlands-based manufacturing products platform 3D Hubs.
The firm is currently investing from its Endeit Fund II, which closed on €125m in 2016.
Other participating investors included Hearst Ventures, EQT Ventures, Balderton Capital, Booking.com founder Arthur Kosten and Ultimaker founder Erik de Bruijn.
The company intends to use the funds to advance automation of key features for the manufacturing process, including quoting, design validation and order routing to its global network of suppliers. The company also plans to accelerate the development of its online platform for faster lead times and better structural integrity of parts.
Previous funding
The company was initially backed by Rockstart Accelerator and received its first round of funding led by Balderton Capital in 2013. The company's $4.5m series-A was also led by Balderton in 2014.
EQT Ventures led the company's $7m series-B with participation from Balderton in 2017.

It claims to have more than 20,000 clients across industries such as aerospace, aviation, energy, healthcare and robotics, and works with 250 suppliers. The company connects manufacturing companies with 3D printing partners to manufacture precision parts.
