Triton-backed Unica buys Brainpact
Triton Partners portfolio company Unica has acquired Dutch industrial automation software provider Brainpact.
Triton acquired industrial technology and process management group Unica in 2017 for an enterprise value of around €200m. The investment was drawn from Triton Fund IV.
Unica generated sales of €398m in 2017 and currently employs 2,500 people.

Brainpact was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Venray. It develops software for the automation and optimisation of industrial processes. It also installs machinery on commission. The firm employs between 11-50 people, according to its LinkedIn page.
