
HPE Growth leads €35m series-B for WeTransfer
HPE Growth has led a €35m series-B funding round for Dutch file sharing company WeTransfer.
HPE's Jonne de Leeuw will replace WeTransfer co-founder Ronald "Nalden" Hans on WeTransfer's supervisory board.
The fresh capital will be used for recruitment in order to accelerate WeTransfer's development.
Previous funding
Highland Europe led a $25m funding round for WeTransfer in 2015. It also supported the bolt-on of Paper and Paste last year.
Company
WeTransfer was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Amsterdam. Its main product is a filesharing service, but it has also launched a mobile app (Collect) and a sketching tool (Paper). In total, it has 50 million users.
