Main Capital's Enovation Group bolts on Point
Main Capital has bought Netherlands-based healthcare software specialist Point and merged it with its portfolio company Enovation.
The Point acquisition is the third bolt-on for Enovation under the Main Capital ownership, having previously joined forces with Meddex (2018) and Verklizan (2018).
Main Capital became a majority shareholder of healthcare communication software developer Enovation in 2018, acquiring the business from the Vanad Group, which retained a minority stake in the company. At the time, the GP drew capital from its fifth buyout fund, which held a final close on €236.5m in 2017.
The product offering of both companies is complementary, strengthening Enovation's offer with various SaaS products in the patient referral, patient file transfer and healthcare communication domain. The combined company employs around 240 people across 10 offices and is active in 17 countries. Enovation is based in Capelle aan den Ijssel.
Company
Founded in 2007, Point operates a platform allowing the transfer of patient referrals and patient files from hospitals and general practitioners to long-term care facilities, and vice versa.
The platform reduces errors and improves cooperation between healthcare professionals and institutes, in an effort to improve the quality of care provisioning as well as minimising the administrative burden on care professionals and patients. Its customer base includes hospitals, GPs and long-term care facilities.
