H2 Equity Partners acquires Contiweb from AIP
Netherlands-based private equity firm H2 Equity Partners has acquired Contiweb, a Dutch offset printing parts manufacturer, from New York-based American Industrial Partners (AIP).
The acquisition marks the first investment of the GP's most recent fund, which was launched in June 2019. The firm specialises in turnaround and growth investments in mid-sized companies operating across broad sectors in Benelux, Germany and the UK.
H2 will cooperate with Contiweb's management to pursue growth opportunities for the company. Contiweb will remain focused on developing and manufacturing equipment and services for customers around the globe.
Previous funding
In 2015, AIP acquired Goss International subsidiary Contiweb from Shanghai Electric. In 2018, Contiweb was spun out and established as a separate company under the ownership of AIP.

Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Boxmeer, Contiweb is a developer and manufacturer of splicers and dryers for offset printing lines. It also provides aftermarket sales and services for installed, proprietary machines across a global customer base of commercial printers.
