NPM Capital's Bergman Clinics buys Van Linschoten Specialisten
Bergman Clinics, a portfolio company of NPM Capital, has acquired ear, nose and throat (ENT) clinic Van Linschoten Specialisten.
The deal is expected to conclude in Q4 2020, subject to approval from the Dutch Healthcare Authority.
The acquisition aims to expand Bergman' offering to include ENT care, according to a statement.
Bergman has 50 clinics in the Netherlands, as well as 50 clinics in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, where it operates as Memira, having acquired Memira in 2019. The company also acquired NL Healthcare in 2017, which had been owned by NPM since 2011, merging the companies and resulting in NPM owning a 40% stake in Bergman. The company currently has 1,500 employees.
Unquote sister publication Mergermarket reported that NPM's planned sale of Bergman Clinics had been put on hold as the coronavirus outbreak began to progress in Europe. JP Morgan and Axeco Corporate Finance were working on the sale, which marketed the company based on EBITDA of more than €60m. It reported revenues of €220m in 2018.
Company
Founded in 2004, Van Linschoten Specialisten is a chain of Netherlands-based clinics specialising in ENT care. It employs eight medical specialists, according to a statement, as well as supporting medical teams.
