KKR-backed Exact bolts on Belgian company Officient
KKR-backed Dutch company Exact has acquired Officient, a Belgian HR software developer.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
KKR acquired Exact from Apax Partners in February 2019. Since then, Exact has made several bolt-on acquisitions, including Benelux software companies Bouw7 and WinBooks in 2019, and Bedrijfssoftware in September 2020. Like the previous deals, the latest transaction will allow Exact to broaden its product offering for its customers.
Founded in 1984 and based in Delft, Exact is a B2B provider of financial and business software, and employs 1,400 staff across 14 countries.
Mergermarket reported CEO Phill Robsinson as saying in an interview that he aimed to increase the company's revenues from the current €320m to €500m by 2024 or 2025. How soon this goal will be reached partly depends on the number of acquisitions he can make, the CEO was quoted as saying.
Company
Founded in 2017 and based in Ghent, Officient is a provider of HR software to help businesses manage all personnel administration through a single platform. The company currently serves 4,000 clients. According to its LinkedIn page, it has fewer than 50 employees.
