Monument Group opens office in Amsterdam
Fundraising advisory firm Monument Group is further cementing itself in the European private capital fundraising market through the opening of a new office in Amsterdam, according to a press release.
Monument, which is fully licensed in the Netherlands and passported throughout the European Union, expects the new office to allow it to expand its client roster across Europe, deepen its relationships with investors in the region, and further the growth of its capital advisory and secondary business, it said.
Partners Janet Brooks and Karl Adam are to co-lead the group’s expansion plans in the region, it said.
The Amsterdam team will work closely with the members of the firm’s long-standing London office, it added.
The opening follows Rede Partners’ similar expansion plans in Europe via an office in Amsterdam, as reported.
The firm has advised and raised funds totalling USD 125bn in equity for GPs including Altor Equity Partners, Castik Capital, HighBrook Investors, and Impilo.
The capital advisory firm is present in London, Boston, Hong Kong and Tokyo and has advised on investment strategies, including buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, private debt, infrastructure, real estate and natural resources since its establishment in 1994.
[Editor's note: The second to last paragraph has been amended post publication to identify Altor Equity Partners as one of the GPs advised by Monument Group.]
