
Runa Capital leads $2m round for BackupAgent
Runa Capital has led a $2m funding round for Dutch cloud technology company BackupAgent.
Runa's investment in BackupAgent was backed by capital from existing investor Solid Ventures. BackupAgent will work at strengthening its global market presence following the investment and develop its cloud-based backup software.
Company
BackupAgent is a developer of cloud-based backup technology headquartered in Delft. The company was founded in 2005 and its software is currently being used by around 400 service providers to businesses and telecommunications companies in 50 countries worldwide.
The company does not sell its product directly but enables customers to set up their own cloud backup service, powered by BackupAgent.
